C&MFarms, named for our children, Cori and Morgan, is a working family farm operated by the Thomas’, Jon, Sharon, Cori, and Morgan.
HONEY
Honey at C&M Farms is produced and packaged as naturally and organically as possible. Varroa mites, an omnipresent threat to honey bees worldwide are treated with essential oils such as wintergreen, peppermint, and thyme oil.
While it is virtually impossible to say exactly what flavor of honey is produced, forage includes seasonal nectars of Linwood, locust, clover, tulip poplar, star thistle, sumac and various others. Spring honey is lighter in color; fall honey is darker..

Following harvest, honey is spun (via centrifugal force) out of the comb and gravity filtered through fine mesh prior to bottling. This natural process preserves the enzymes and other nutrients that provide the health benefits touted by honey experts. Some claim local honey provides protection from seasonal allergies.
Our honey is then bottled and ready for sale at local farmers markets, stores, and to individual buyers. Because we do not pasteurize our honey, it tends to crystallize after a few months. Simply immersing the bottle in warm water will clarify the honey to its original form
